Just like yesterday, I’m often curious to “find out” what might “happen” in the kitchen.
And, I’m always willing to try.
I’ve baked this simply pastry dessert in the past, using puff pastry instead of filo dough.
It was truly delicious. And, even though I pose curiosity here, I really KNEW this baked brilliance would be just as magnificent.
Brown butter chocolate? C’mon!
Brown Butter Chocolate Pastry Braid
1 large Alter Eco Brown Butter Chocolate Bar (2.282 oz)
1 package filo dough
4 Tbs. butter, melted
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Roll out all the layers of the filo dough and brush with plenty of melted butter.
Place the chocolate bar in the center for the filo dough rectangle.
Slit the dough sides at an angle and “braid” up the sides, covering with butter.
Bake for 15-20 minutes, until golden brown.
Slice while still slightly hot, to allow for the browned butter chocolate goodness to ooze out and tease your palate.
Yum!
