Chocolate Bananason Bread

“Bananson” is a “thing.”

According to the bar across the street – our once favorite bar tenders there created this concoction for loyal customers over a decade ago.
Bananas + Jameson Irish Whiskey = Banana Infused Jameson = Bananason

And what to do with those leftover soaked bananas?

Chocolate Bananson Bread – a moist and rich chocolate banana bread made with the caramelized flavor depth of Jameson Irish Whiskey-soaked bananas.


Chocolate Bananson Bread

3 cups all-purpose flour
1 Tbs. sea salt
1 Tbs. baking soda
1 Tbs. baking powder
1 1/4 cup sugar
3 eggs
1 cup oil
3 Tbs. vanilla extract
Jameson Irish Whiskey-soaked bananas

1 ½ cups dark chocolate chips

Preheat the oven to 350°F.

Combine the flour, salt, baking soda, and baking powder in a large bowl and whisk together. 


In a separate bowl, beat the sugar, eggs, oil, and vanilla until smooth. 

Mash the soaked bananas and then add to the butter and sugar mixture.


Combine the dry ingredients with the wet.

Fold in the chocolate chips.


Pour the bread batter into a parchment-lined bread pan. 

Bake for 45-60 minutes, until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.

Allow to cool completely before slicing.
