Chocolate chip cookies are a good thing – anytime, anywhere…
But so are dark chocolate brownies.
Realistically, how could you choose? Seriously! When push comes to shove, if both were in front of you, fresh out the oven, how could you possibly decide on which one to devour – with a glass of milk, maybe? Or vanilla ice cream?
Well, I don’t think you should have to decide. Making choices if far too difficult these days, especially when it comes to yumminess.
So, it’s time to have the chocolate chip cookie and the brownies – together – forever, in a little scrumptious bite!
Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Brownie Bites
Brownie Batter:
2 sticks butter, melted
1 1/2 cups sugar
1 Tbs. vanilla extract
4 large eggs
1 1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
1 1/2 cups all purpose flour
1/2 tsp. sea salt
1 tsp. baking powder
2 cups dark chocolate chips
1 cup bittersweet chocolate chunks
**Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough:
3/4 cup sugar
3/4 cup brown sugar
1 stick butter, softened
1 tsp. vanilla extract
1 large egg
2 1/4 cups all purpose flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. sea salt
1 1/2 cup semisweet chocolate chips
**You will only use about 1/2 of this batter, so reserve 1/2, and then form the remaining dough into 1″ balls and bake at 350 degrees for about 13 minutes on a parchment lined cookie sheet.
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Line a 9×13″ baking pan with parchment paper.
Combine the melted butter and sugar and stir until well combined. Add the eggs and vanilla, whisking until well combined.
In a separate bowl, mix together all the dry ingredients.
Fold in the wet ingredients until well incorporated.
Pour the batter into the parchment lined pan. Set aside.
In another bowl reserved for the cookie dough, beat together the sugars, butter, vanilla, and egg until smooth and fluffy. Fold in the flour, baking soda, salt, and chocolate chips until well combined.
Using half of the cookie dough, place spoonfuls of the dough throughout the brownie batter.
Bake for about 35 minutes, until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
Allow the treats to cool before slicing and serving…or not. We’ve all been known to dig into that pan of brownies far before they were ready to slice! When you’re planning on devouring the whole pan with some ice cream, who cares?
You’re welcome.
