Crack Pie — the trademarked name for the chain’s buttery, sugary pie — will now become Milk Bar Pie. The name was a reference to crack cocaine — the gag being that the pie was just as addictive as the drug.
Have you had Crack Pie from Milk Bar?
It’s irresistible.
Just like these Chocolate Fudge Peanut Butter Crack Brownies!
And, ha ha ha (read ominously), these chocolate fudgy peanut buttery morsels of amazingness create a play on words: crack brownies – with a layer of peanut butter chips in between the chocolatey fudge, a “crack” of sweet peanut butter bakes into each bite: Crack and Crack!
Chocolate Fudge Peanut Butter Crack Brownies
1 cup sugar
1/2 cup flour
1/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
1/2 tsp. sea salt
1/4 tsp. baking powder
1/2 cup dark chocolate chips
2 large eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 cup vegetable oil
1/4 cup chocolate fudge sauce
1 1/2 cup peanut butter chips
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Combine the dry ingredients in a large bowl: the sugar, flour, cocoa, sea salt, and baking powder.
Stir in the chocolate chips with the dry ingredients to coat them in the flour mixture.
Add the eggs, vanilla, and oil and stir until combined.
Stir in the chocolate fudge.
Spread 1/2 the batter into a greased 8×8 pan, or line a pan with parchment paper.
Evenly sprinkle the peanut butter chips over the fudge batter.
Top with the remaining chocolate batter.
Bake for about 22-28 minutes, or until an inserted toothpick comes out mostly clean.
Cool for several hours before slicing and revealing the peanut butter “crack.”
