Grapefruit Rose Basil Fettuccine
1 batch homemade fettuccine
2 Tbs. butter
lots of salt and pepper
4 oz. cream
juice and zest of 1 fresh grapefruit
3 drops absolute rose essential oil
fresh basil
fresh rose petals
Prepare the pasta as usual, without cooking.
Melt the butter over low heat. Add the salt and pepper, cream, and grapefruit. Bring to a simmer. Add the pasta and cook for several minutes, stirring, until al dente. Stir in the rose oil.
Serve garnished with fresh basil, rose petals, and additional cracked pepper.
