Super refreshing, a light lager mixed with both citrus lime and orange, as well as tequila blanco and a touch of sweet syrup and poured over crushed-ice, there really is nothing better on a hot, summer afternoon (or anytime in Mexico!).

Chelada: the best of tequila, lime and orange juice over crushed ice.

Mexican Ice Beer – Orange Chelada

fresh juice of 1/2 an orange + small wedge for garnish
fresh juice of 1/2 lime
2 oz. tequila blanco
1 oz. simple syrup
12 oz. Mexican lager (or any light beer)
1 cup crushed ice

Gently mix together the citrus juices and simple syrup and add the simple syrup.
Pour in the lager beer.
Add the crushed ice and serve with the fresh orange wedge.

Serve in a large glass with a salted rim (optional).
