We all know there’s nothing like the duo peanut butter and chocolate creates on the palate and in the soul. Almond butter does the same thing ~ it really does.
And, then add the crunch of flaked sea salt and you’ll truly believe you’ve died and gone to heaven.
Salted Chocolate Almond Butter Cups
2 cups freshly ground almond butter
24 oz. semi-sweet, high quality chocolate chips
flaked sea salt
Add the chocolate and almond butter to a medium heatproof bowl and place the bowl over a pan of barely simmering water. Stir until the chocolate has melted and the mixture is smooth, about 12 minutes. Alternatively, this can be done in the microwave, carefully checking the mixture every minute, for about 5 minutes.
Fill 12 silicone muffin liners with the mixture (there will be some leftover for you to devour on your own).
Allow to cool for about 20 minutes.
Sprinkle each cup with deliciously crunchy flaked sea salt.
Refrigerate for at least 6 hours before serving.
Store in the freezer or fridge.
