Is there anything better than a seared tuna steak?

Well, yes. But, you do understand that a properly seared piece of ahi is nothing less than heaven on earth.
Especially when paired with creamy coconut rice and basil ~ and the flavors and aroma of sesame.

Your mouth is watering, right?

Sesame Seared Tuna and Coconut Basil Rice

1 large tuna steak
2 tsp. olive oil
1 Tbs. sesame seeds
2 tsp. Hampton’s Artisan Lime Sea Salt

1/2 cup white, Jasmine rice
5 oz. coconut cream
1/2 cup water
2 Tbs. fresh basil

1 cup fresh broccoli
2 tsp. sesame oil

Preheat the oven to 500 degrees.

Combine the rice, coconut cream, and water in a small saucepan. Bring to a boil and then reduce to a simmer – cooking and stirring for about 20 minutes. Stir in the fresh basil, thinly chopped.

Meanwhile, brush both sides of the fish with olive oil and crust with the seeds and lime salt. On a parchment lined baking sheet, place in the hot oven. Cook for about 3 minutes. Flip, cook 2-3 minutes more.

In a separate small pan, combine the broccoli and sesame oil and sear until bright green.

Serve the fish atop the rice and alongside the sesame broccoli, with additional basil.

Delicious and fragrant.

All your senses will thank you.
