This simple drink became popular in the 1970s, though no one’s really sure of its origins. Some stories say it was inspired by the famous gangster film of the same name; others say that the Don himself, Marlon Brando, drank it regularly. I don’t know if we’ll ever know the truth of the tale.
But your spin on the drink, Evan, is so much better.
The layering. The creativity. We CRAVE it! Thank you.
Happy Birthday! This one is for you!
The Brando
1 1/2 oz. Glenmorangie 10 Year Scotch (super smooth)
1/4 oz. Amaretto liqueurÂ
1/2 oz. Lagavulin 16 Year Single Malt Scotch (super smoky)
lemon twist
1 large ice rock
Layer the 10 year, the Amaretto, and the smoky Scotch. Chill with a large rock and serve with a twist.
Sip and savor.
Thank you so much. You guys push me to become better. I’m so happy you enjoy my cocktails. Thanks again. ?
