We are our own worst critics for sure. But it doesn’t have to be that way – and it really SHOULD NOT be that way.
I am incredibly encouraging and accepting of others. I am an exceptional coach, counselor, and educator. However, those who know me well will attest to the fact that I hardly ever give myself a break. I have certainly improved over the years, but that inner coach inside me – I know this for sure – really is a MORON. I would never speak to anyone else the way I hear my own voice inside sometimes, when it comes to certain things. Jason gives me this feedback all the time.
As I stumbled across this guest post on Robb Wolf’s blog, it hit me again that I really do need to fire my inner coach – that voice inside – and recruit a new one. That new one is already there, bright and shining, and ready to boost me along my way. That new voice is the sweet sound I’ve been waiting to hear all my life.
I also found it fascinating that over the course of the last two days, I have been bombarded with the message of SELF AWARENESS. I do not believe in coincidence. For better or for worse, things do happen for a reason and we hear what we need to hear just at the right moment. I am AWARE.
Are you aware? Who is your coach?
